Shobshob is a marketplace that connects customers in Calgary with licensed home-based bakers and cooks. Shobshob facilitates discovery, ordering, and payment; it is not the preparer of any food.
All items are prepared in home kitchens that are not subject to commercial inspection. Cross-contamination is possible. Shobshob makes no “allergy-free”, “nut-free”, or similar guarantees. Customers with severe or life-threatening allergies should exercise extreme caution and contact the seller directly before ordering. You must acknowledge the allergen notice at checkout. Responsibility for safe food handling rests with the seller; responsibility for allergy decisions rests with the customer.
Prices show the seller’s base price plus a transparent 15% service fee, any seller-set delivery fee, and 5% GST. Shobshob is the merchant of record and uses Stripe to process payments. Your card is authorized when you place an order and charged when the seller accepts it.
You may cancel free of charge before the seller marks the order “Preparing”. After that, cancellations are handled case by case through a support request; there are no automatic refunds for change of mind once preparation has started.
Shobshob is a facilitator and is not liable for allergic reactions or food-safety incidents. These terms are an MVP summary and will be replaced by a complete legal agreement before public launch.
